Allison Eaton, E-RYT 200
Allison learned the yoga lifestyle through her mother, a yogini of 30 years and initiate of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.  Through her mother’s influence and guidance, Allison received the teachings of ahimsa (self love and love for others) and artha (creation of a balanced life).  Throughout her childhood, Allison practiced gymnastics, where she learned the virtues of focused concentration (dharana), determination and passion (tapas). She came to yoga asana (postures) at age 18, and has since acquired in-depth study and teaching experience in various disciplines.

Iyengar Yoga brought stability to her practice, taught her to think intelligently and to practice “right action” within the postures.  Vinyasa flow yoga turned her yoga mat into a sacred space, bringing creativity and liberation (moksa) to her practice and teaching.  Anusara Yoga brought her heart into her practice and taught her to align herself with the universal life force energy (prana). Meditation (dhyana) and breath control (pranayama) showed her that she could bring contentment (santosa) into any moment.  Tai Chi practice taught her to “leave out the extra.”

Allison is a registered teacher through Yoga Alliance.  She completed her teacher certifications through Yoga Fit (Power/Vinyasa Flow), Corrin Adams (Iyengar-Influenced 200 Hour) and Shiva Rea (Vinyasa Flow), with additional study and training under Kevin Durkin, Certified Iyengar Teacher and Yoga Therapist and Victor Oppenheimer, Senior Iyengar Teacher.

Allison has an ability to connect to the needs of the individual student and to empower the teacher within.

Recent Student Testimonial:

What can I say, WOW! Allison absolutely exemplified the combination of Yogini, Leader, Professional, Spiritual Guide and Consummate Teacher. Her poise, presence, and undeniably uplifted energy were such a significant catalyst for my personal growth as both a teacher and as a human being. I cannot say enough regarding the clarity of integrity, the generosity of spirit and the unconditional love that filled our classroom each and every day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
